G. Keith Alley graduated as an Echols Scholar from the University of Virginia with a B.A. with Distinction in 1992.
From 1992 to 1995 when he graduated, Mr. Alley studied law and focused his studies on trial advocacy, contracts and evidence at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Mr. Alley actively participated in both civil and criminal trial advocacy courses and served as a Knox County General Sessions Court mediator while in law school. Mr. Alley was also active in coaching high school mock trial students participating in the Tennessee Mock Trial competition during that time.

Mr. Alley's work with mock trial students led him to the practice of law in Anderson County, Tennessee, where he was employed as an associate attorney from 1995 to 2002. While an associate, he practiced approximately 80% civil and 20% criminal litigation. In 2002, Mr. Alley formed a law firm with offices in Anderson County and Sevier County and served as that firm's primary litigator. He continued his practice with his own firm focusing entirely upon civil litigation from 2002 to 2007. In 2007, Mr. Alley left the firm he helped found favoring instead to join his wife in the practice of law with Kizer & Black, Attorneys, PLLC, where he heads the firm's Loudon County office.
Mr. Alley's areas of practice continue to include general civil litigation, all matters involving workers' compensation, personal injury litigation, contract disputes, construction issues, boundary disputes, land condemnation, landlord/tenant issues, debt collection, consumer protection, will contests, contested conservatorships and motor vehicle warranty claims. Mr. Alley represents business owners, home owners, contractors and subcontractors in a wide range of construction-related legal issues and has considerable experience litigating construction disputes. Mr. Alley represents both injured employees and business in workers' compensation claims. Since 1996, Mr. Alley has represented literally hundreds of employees and individuals injured in the course of their work or as a result of the negligence of others. Mr. Alley also has considerable experience in representing individuals involved in will contests and contested conservatorships. Mr. Alley also handles a wide range of contract disputes including business dissolutions, partnership disputers, landlord/tenant disputes and misrepresentation claims.

Mr. Alley routinely represents both out-of-state clients and businesses with interests and issues in Tennessee as well as clients with issues requiring litigation in Courts located in Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamilton, Knox, Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Union and Washington Counties.
