Born in Yakima, Washington, 1973, Justin R. Martin graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1995 with a BA in College Scholars (emphasis in Philosophy and American Studies) followed by a JD from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2000, where he served as a member of the initial staff of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law, participated in Moot Court Board, Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and was published in the ABA Tort & Insurance Law Journal (See 35 TILJ 811 (2000)). Mr. Martin currently focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and business law. He also has significant experience in the fields of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), creditor's rights, bankruptcy, commercial & banking law. Mr. Martin is admitted to practice in the state and federal district courts of the State of Tennessee, and is a member of the American, Tennessee, Knox County, Blount County, and Loudon County Bar Associations, including the Business and Corporate Counsel Sections of the American, Tennessee, and Knox County Bar Associations. He is a member of the 2007 Leadership Law Class organized by the Tennessee Bar Association and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of its Alumni Association; he is also on the Board and serves as a District Representative of the Young Lawyer Division of the Tennessee Bar Association. He serves on the Tennessee Bar Association's Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. Mr. Martin is an avid runner and water sports enthusiast, who occasionally finds time to catch up on his reading.
